Thanks for all the positive feedback. I am currently volunteering at Paradise Gardens and can highly recommend it. The managers are enthustiastic, committed and open to any ideas or talents you wish to share. The animals may have changed but the ideal continues that we rehabilitate and release wild animals. We also give a home to neglected pets. Animals are well cared for and I have learned so much about tropical flora and fauna. Its hard not to get attached to these animals and want to share that knowledge! They are currently looking for longer term volunteers, especially managers in an unpaid position and accomodation is provided. I am planning on taking my vacation time from work in June and I am interested in Boquete. I roast coffee for a living so obviosly I am familiar with the valley. I am 28 yrs old, an avid mountain biker and adventure seeker. I was just curious of those of you who have visited this area if you had any tips, suggestions or things to take into account so I may better decide if this should be the place for me to visit?
